Term 4

Welcome back to the last term of 2013 - how time has flown and what a lot we have to fit in to get Room 19 ready to move to Year 4!

This term our inquiry question is 'What is Sport' and we have planned our learning together.

We will be starting off by learning a new sport - ice skating in week 2, when we go to Paradice for a lesson.  How cool is that?

A huge WELL DONE to SD for coming FIRST in the Year 3 boys Cross Country and to CW for coming THIRD, and to RT for coming SECOND in the girls Year 3 Cross Country. Congratulations!

Homework Task Week 8 and 9

Inquiry This week your homework is to complete   a recyclable project. You  need to collect a plastic bottle and you need to think of how you can recycle it into something beautiful or useful. You can cut it up, paint it, add details and extras…let your imagination run wild!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU94rL6M-Cs&safe=active   This is an excellent clip showing a lot of amazing things you can do with plastic. Some ideas are: bird feeders, plant holders, pen holders, flowers, vases, wine glasses, hanging holders   Be creative and create something that you are proud of.

Congratulations to KH for recieving the Special Terrific Person Award and to KM for recieving the Values.

We also watched our fabulous school Kapa Haka Group perform. We have lots of girls from R19 in this fantastic group- A.C, E.M, M.V, C.P, R.T, B.O, B.T and V.O. Good luck girls for your performance at McCleans College on Saturday.
